Ok, here is my take. I like it, and that is with some concerns. I want Jenny off the show. She will make me turn the L Word off and flip back and forth, just so I don’t have to see her. I am glad they kept Tasha, but it is still lacking the diversity I would love to see.

I like the show overall, but Bette’s choices for love interests irk me. Both are annoying in their own way. I never saw the attraction and pull between Bette and (this is sooo not PC, but..) the deaf lady and Tina is so unattractive and pasty to me. Shane is a dumb ass and I can’t understand why she would even do what she did (for those that haven’t seen the episode and her girlfriend is crazy as hell, WTF!!! Alica and Tasha are cool, but why are they saying “I love you” already, geez they’re moving too fast for me and I’m not even in teh relationship. I never paid Helena much mind, but her storyline seems like it will be interesting. And Max jsut needs to go and sit down. He needs to take it where? Back there!! Jenny… let’s move on. All in all, I’ll surely be watching.

I thought in all it was pretty boring. I do believe that it was just setting us up for the drama to come…

SC,are you sure you like watching the show? :)
I’m sorry but I am a Shane fan. Big time. Now don’t get me wrong, half the things she has done and been through are crazy but she’s cool. She’s my role model for the 08. Well… I wouldn’t go that far but hell I wouldn’t object to hitting the entire wedding party!

    Nic,
I think what she did was just plain nasty. And is it me or does she have this uncanny ability to get women (both gay and straight)to just drop the drawers at the bat of an eye. I’ve always liked Shane, but I think she needs to lay off the relationships and get a hobbie. She clearly trying to overcompensate for something, I just hoep that she discovers what it is before she has to take a trip to the clinic.

i would like to see Kit get more play. what’s up with her? mother earth? poor Max. hard decisons to make. keep the pussy. there’s power in the pussy. Jenny is such a little b$% but i guess every show needs one. i love Phyllis. the lawyer needs to give her space. sheesh. she just got out of a 30 yr marriage and is just acknowledging her love of women. give her break. i agree with SC, Alicia and Tasha just met and already they are in love…hmmm… i guess that happens in real in life. can u say u-haul? Shane…what can u say..the girl loves pussy. everyone doesn’t want to be tied down. Papi is gone i guess. i kinda liked her character.

but they sure love having sex on this show…that’s 4 sure. can’t wait for the next episode.

Diversity, diversity, diversity. The L word is a very good show and i have been a faithful viewer sine day one, but i think that the show can be more representative of all of us. More “true” studs and femmes that are African American. Tasha is a good character, but she seems to be fake. I would like to see a show or maybe even a reality show with more of us on there to give us a place to relate to

I agree with Kim. I too have been a faithful viewer and find, so far, this season just isn’t doing it for me. Jenny is just plain trippin, her character has become nauseating and what’s up with Max’s character? I used to admire Shane’s swagger, the way she worked a room just by being in it…amazing. This season, she’s just ‘out of control’. I hope the show gets a grip as the season progress, I look forward to watching.

I’ve never been a big fan of the L Word but I generally make it out to a Premiere. But this year it threw me for a loop and hit me with some hypnotic in Episode II…Lucia Rijker! Yeah (smile), all I could do was smile…

But on the real, I’m not feeling the whole surreal-hypersexual vibe. After watching the Premiere’s first and second episodes, I’m not entirely convinced that the L Word hasn’t been revamped to reflect mainstream’s stereotypes of and fantasies about lesbian women rather than be a show that reflects something we really can relate to. Feeling the way I do made it harder to get into it although Lucia’s guest appearance made it a little easier, lol…

I think the show sucks this year… It’s like watching the Soaps…
what next… Dana is going to come back from the dead…
Everything from day one… is one big Over Kill in Dramatization …
Jenny (over kill) she is over acting her B!tch role… Shane (over kill) no one is that attractive… they need to let someone say “No” at least once for her role to be convincing/ believable..

The L Word is making my life style look nasty… as if we are all about sex.. and move from one woman to the next in the nastiest fashion ever, with no self control and any morals…
I love sex… gawd knows I do… but I think about what I’m doing and ponder over it before I end up doing anything…
“regardless if I do it or not”…
They were on to something good when they started to address the “Don’t ask don’t tell” but they had to mess that up too… I wish they’d consider giving someone on the show some balls to address that…
and Jenny’s tired azzz book should be burned…

And what’s up with the mute chick & what is the point she is trying to make… Soaps I tell you…

I must say I agree Poka Dots. This show is probably spinning its last wheel. They tackle serious topics then lessen it with trivial issues. Shane officialy i am like whatever. You all know how i feel about Jenny, if she left the show today, i would not take a momment of silence, other than when i am taking in the air for the huge sigh of relief. The hottest thing this past week was Tina and Bet kissin. I can tell you now, I don’t break my neck to get home and watch the show. I would rather watch the wire, and catch the L Word on reruns.

I take the show for what it is- A late night soap opera. I am disappointed at that way the storelines have been played out because they had a chance to really tackle some real issue like the don’t ask don’t tell and just dealing with being in the life and they have dropped the ball. They are trying to turn everything into comedy. I will continue to watch because it is entertaining and one of the few things on TV that features lesbians. I am hoping LOGO brings out a show for us.
